White WineAndré Bonhomme Les Quarts 2021
Drawn from the historic climat Les Quarts in Viré-Clessé, a south-facing slope of limestone and marl long regarded as one of the appellation’s defining sites. The Bonhomme family has farmed here since the mid-20th century, with the estate now run by Agnès Bonhomme and Aurélie Bonhomme, working organically with a focus on site expression. Fermentation is with native yeasts, followed by élevage in a mix of stainless steel and older oak on fine lees. The 2021 vintage, shaped by a cooler and more challenging season, emphasises clarity and tension: citrus, green apple and white peach, with a saline edge and firm acidity, finishing long and mineral, reflecting the limestone soils of Les Quarts.
