Red WineXiao Pu Perdue 21.1
Founded in 2017, ex-sommelier Ian Dai Hongjing, is a travelling negoçiant / 'nomad winery' that produces idiosyncratic cuvées experimenting with extended maceration, alternative varieties, and multi-vintage blending.
Directly translating to ‘Little Garden’ , Xiao Pu wines are a product of nature, made with sustainable practices and respect for the land and its people. Ian Dai works with long-term partners who share the vision of sustainable agriculture and modern farming philosophies.
Multi-vintage Pinot Noir from Tianshui, Gansu Province. Compared with Ningxia's Qingtong Valley, the water is colder, there is more rain, the acidity of the grapes is higher, and the alcohol content is much lower. The design of the label is inspired by the use of weights and serifs to express the style of the grapes. 21.1 is the softed and prettiest of the range, so it uses the lightest weight font.
