Xiao Pu

Red Wine

Xiao Pu Perdue 21.3

Founded in 2017, ex-sommelier Ian Dai Hongjing, is a travelling negoçiant / 'nomad winery' that produces idiosyncratic cuvées experimenting with extended maceration, alternative varieties, and multi-vintage blending.

Directly translating to ‘Little Garden’ , Xiao Pu wines are a product of nature, made with sustainable practices and respect for the land and its people. Ian Dai works with long-term partners who share the vision of sustainable agriculture and modern farming philosophies.

21.3 comes from Qingtong Valley, Ningxia. Bunches were harvested over a 20 day period. In the early batches, 100% of the stems will be removed, and the proportion of stems were gradually increased. 21.3 is a blending of multiple barrels with a focus on barrels that underwent whole-bunch fermentation. A lot more concentrated, overripe fruit, earthiness, and forest-floor than 21.1.
