From Pyramid Valley’s Snake’s Tongue parcel in Central Otago, planted on schist and glacial soils at elevation, this Pinot Noir shows a more compact, darker profile. The nose opens with black cherry, plum skin, and dried rose, with a light herbal edge and a faint earthy note. The palate is structured, with fine, persistent tannins and a mineral line carrying dark fruit and savoury spice. Acidity is fresh and direct. The finish is long, dry, and stony, with a gentle ferrous edge.
