From the Gräfenberg vineyard above Kiedrich, one of the Rheingau’s steepest and most exposed sites, this Auslese is drawn from botrytised Riesling grown on phyllite and slate-rich soils. The nose opens with apricot, peach, and candied citrus, with honey, saffron, and a light smoky note. The palate is concentrated, with sweetness carried by firm, driving acidity, giving both weight and precision. Botrytis adds texture and spice without obscuring the site’s mineral line. The finish is long and persistent, with citrus, stone, and a saline edge.
