Cavallotto’s Bricco Boschis comes from one of Barolo’s most historically important sites in Castiglione Falletto, a family-held estate with a long commitment to traditional élevage and full-expression Nebbiolo. In 2020, the warmth of the vintage gives the wine an earlier generosity than stricter years, but the house style remains intact: long maceration, large Slavonian oak, and a clear sense of site. Rose petal, red cherry, blood orange, dried herbs and tea leaf sit over firm, finely worked tannins, with the savoury depth and mineral tension that give Barolo its authority. This is already persuasive, but it has the structure to settle and deepen with time.
