Rusden Christian Chenin Blanc

In 1979, nestled in the core of Vine Vale in the Barossa, a passionate young couple, Dennis Canute and Christine, a sixth-generation Barossa grape grower, acquired a neglected vineyard. Rejecting the prevalent vine pull of the era, they lovingly restored the ancient Shiraz and Grenache vines.

The renowned Rusden label emerged in 1987 when the couple chose not to supply their precious fruits to large corporations offering minimal compensation. Christian Canute, the succeeding generation winemaker and grower, trained under the tutelage of Rockford’s Robert O’Callaghan. He holds immense pride in this distinctive vineyard, ensuring its essence resonates in every Rusden wine.
