Students will gain a solid foundation in the world of French wine in an accessible and engaging way. The course will highlight 'need to know' regions, grape varieties, and wine styles.

Learn all about and taste your way through the ‘need to know’ wines of France including essential varieties, wine styles, appellations, winemaking and viticulture whilst exploring history, culture, cuisine and notable producers.

How is the course delivered?
Guided by French Wine Scholar and accredited wine educator Gill Sykes this course will be taught over 5 weeks in 2.5 hour sessions from 6pm – 8:30pm. Situated in The Map Room above Cardwell Cellars. The exam will be held on the 6th week. Each session will include 4 to 5 tasting wines.
If you fail the exam you may re-sit for a fee.
Students withdrawing from the course within 72 hours of commencement will forfeit 20% of the course fee.
The course can be cancelled by Cardwell Cellars up to the day before the commencement of the first class. All fees will be refunded in this case.
