A. Gere Villanyi Cabernet Franc 2018
Though we rare see examples of Hungarian Cabernet Franc in Australia, the wine region of Villanyi (pronounced Vil-awny) is quite famous for wines made from the Loire grape variety. Indeed, Michael Broadbent MW noted in the year 2000 that Cabernet Franc had found it's second home in Villanyi. Unlike it's Loire counterparts, Cabernet Franc from Villanyi does not struggle to ripen can be more generous than traditional examples from Anjou and Saumur.
