White WineUtzinger White Chardonnay 2022
Fruit sourced from West Tamar Valley underwent whole bunch pressing, followed by a brief settling. It then experienced a wild fermentation primarily in aged oak, underwent partial malolactic fermentation, and rested for 8 months on full lees. The wine was then gently filtered and sealed with a screwcap.
Its appearance is a luminous yellow tinged with gold. The nose, welcoming and of moderate intensity, reveals ripe mango, pineapple, yellow peach, and a hint of salted caramel.
The palate is introduced with a vibrant acidic note, and the wine is medium-bodied. Its finish lingers, echoing the oak's aromatic presence.
