White WineAlheit Cartology Chenin Blanc 2021
Cartology stands as an homage to the Cape's viticultural legacy, a tapestry woven from its storied vineyards each harvest year. It's a composite portrait, captured through the venerable bushvines of indigenous varietals, primarily Chenin Blanc and Sémillon — vines deeply rooted in the region's soil for centuries. Our Cartology label is the cornerstone of our collection, epitomizing our mission while also championing the wines that echo the Cape's rich heritage.
The 2021 Cartology blend consists of 90% Chenin Blanc and 10% Sémillon. The Chenin Blanc is sourced from our cherished plots in diverse locales such as Skurfberg, Malmesbury, Perdeberg, Bottelary, the higher reaches of Blaauwklippen, along the shores of False Bay, and the slopes of Tygerberg. Meanwhile, the Sémillon hails from the venerable La Colline block nestled in the heart of Franschhoek.
