Weingut Knoll

Weingut Knoll, based in the village of Unterloiben in Austria’s Wachau Valley, is one of the region’s most iconic estates. Run by the Knoll family since the 1950s, it produces powerful, terroir-driven wines—especially Grüner Veltliner and Riesling—from renowned sites like Kellerberg and Loibenberg. Known for its richly textured Smaragd wines and distinctive labels featuring Saint Urban, the winery is a founding member of the Vinea Wachau and maintains a reputation for traditional, age-worthy expressions that reflect the region’s steep terraces and diverse soils.
