Antoniolo
Rosé WineAntoniolo Bricco Lorella Rosato 2022
The Antoniolo winery was founded in 1948 by Mario Antoniolo, who approached the wine world with enthusiasm and drive. His daughter, Rosanna, joined him in running the business from 1980 onwards. Since 1998, his son Alberto, known for his meticulous and perfectionist approach in the vineyard and cellar, and his daughter Lorella, who handles the commercial side, have supported the operation.
The estate covers 20 hectares, with 15 hectares dedicated to vineyards facing southwest. This orientation ensures optimal sunlight and protection from the cold northern winds from the Alps. The vineyards have a density of 3000 vines per hectare, with an average vine age of around 20 years.
The vineyards are divided into several plots: San Francesco, Osso San Grato, and Castelle, which produce the renowned Gattinara crus, as well as Borelle and Valferana, from which the Coste della Sesia Nebbiolo DOC Juvenia, Nebbiolo Coste della Sesia DOC, the rosé Bricco Lorella, and the white wine Bianco Borella are made.
The winery's philosophy has always been uncompromising quality in the production of premium Gattinara wines, all crafted from grapes grown in their own vineyards. These wines are distinctive, with high minerality and acidity, reflecting the unique terroir they come from.
