Spanish Wine

Spain’s winemaking heritage is often viewed through the lens of its iconic regions like Rioja, Ribera del Duero, and Priorat. Besides Sherry from Andalucía and sparkling Cava from Penedès, there are many fascinating smaller areas within Spain that produce singular products from lesser known grape varieties.

That’s to say nothing of the Spanish islands, like Menorca, Mallorca, and the Canaries, that all produce their own wine from indigenous grapes as well. Spain is a powerhouse of wine diversity, and is today producing some of the most exciting wines anywhere in the world.
