Karthaeuserhof
White WineKarthäuserhof Riesling 'Alte Reben' Trocken 2021
The storied Karthäuserhof estate, steeped in fairy tale allure, gazes over the breathtaking Mosel valley. Recognized as the eighth oldest winegrowing estate in the world, it was officially established as a monastery in 1335. Originally named the “Farm of the Carthusians,” it was bestowed upon the monks of the Carthusian order by Prince-Elector Balduin of Luxembourg. Remarkably, since 1811, the Karthäuserhof has remained under the stewardship of seven generations of the same family.
The Alte Reben comes from old vines across several vineyards, and is vinified as a dry Riesling, showcasing the concentration and intensity of old vine fruit in the unique locale that is the Mosel Valley.
