White WineVinkara Narince 2018
Originating from Anatolia, Narince is a native grape variety. The Vinkara Narince wine presents a straw-yellow hue with green undertones. Its aroma captivates with prominent notes of peach, lemon leaves, and orange blossoms. On tasting, it reveals a vibrant fruitiness complemented by a sharp acidity, leading to a prolonged finish. Specifically, the Erbaa/Tokat Narince is a distinctive white grape from Tokat in Mid-Eastern Anatolia and stands as one of Turkey's primary white wine grape varieties. Tokat's diverse climate, oscillating between the Central Black Sea's conditions and Inner Anatolia, gets more intense at elevations ranging from 1,000 to 2,250 feet. The terrain predominantly comprises sandy-clay and gravel soils.
The grapes undergo hand harvesting, followed by gentle crushing and pressing. They ferment in stainless steel tanks for six months. After fermentation, the wine is allowed to settle, maturing on its lees for an additional three months.
