Dormilona Aka 2024

The Dormilona Aka 2024 is a lively and expressive red blend that exemplifies the innovative spirit of Margaret River winemaker Josephine Perry. Crafted from equal parts Tempranillo, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon, all sourced from the organically managed Yungarra vineyard, this wine offers a vibrant bouquet of red currant, cherry, and red apple aromas, complemented by subtle notes of sage. The palate is fresh and juicy, with a medium body and balanced acidity, leading to a smooth, approachable finish. 

Perry's minimalist approach to winemaking allows the unique characteristics of the fruit to shine through. The grapes undergo a 3-5 day cold soak before fermentation at cool temperatures, with natural malolactic fermentation adding roundness to the wine. Not fined or filtered, the Aka 2024 is a testament to Perry's commitment to producing natural, low-intervention wines that are both expressive and accessible.
