La Réserve d’O
Red WineLa Réserve d’O Rouge Terrasses du Larzac
Perched on the elevated edges of Terrasses du Larzac, Marie and Frédéric cultivate a secluded, prime plot of Syrah, Grenache, and Cinsault with organic and biodynamic principles since its inception. The altitude and locale's unique positioning set their wines apart, imparting a refreshing, airy elegance uncommon to many Languedoc wines.
The crafted blend comprises 45% Shiraz and 45% Grenache, enlivened by a 10% dash of vibrant Cinsault, matured for over a year in terracotta amphorae. The wine unveils lush purple hues, alluring aromatic spices, and a seamless, tactile mouthfeel. It's a must-have for enthusiasts seeking a harmonious Mediterranean experience.
With an Ecocert organic and Demeter biodynamic certification, the wine is a mix of 45% Grenache, 45% Syrah, and 10% Cinsault, grown on rocky clay-limestone at an altitude of 400 meters. Harvested by hand, naturally fermented over 25 days, and devoid of additives, it matures in untouched concrete vats and amphorae for a span of 16 months, with a hint of sulphite introduced during bottling.
"A breathtaking dance of raspberry and blackcurrant, radiating a vivid glow akin to a backlit ruby. The wine's texture is reminiscent of raw, hand-spun clay, post its initial firing but pre-glazing, a balance of smoothness and grit. This wine brims with vitality!" - Tamlyn Curry, Jancis Robinson.
