"Aligoté, the 'other' white wine from Burgundy. Historically treated as the poor cousin to Chardonnay, we're enjoying seeing that change. We grafted around 2015 becoming one of only 3 vineyards growing the variety at the time. We love it for its acid profile and pear fruits and the way it can take on a little golden hue in the vineyard depending on sun exposure.
The 2022 was wild fermented, aged on lees for 12 months in a combination of old oak barrels and ceramic. Delicate pears, beautiful acid and a generous palate.
