Primitivo, a grape with a long history, tracing its origins to the Adriatic coast of Croatia. 

A relative of the Croatian grape Plavac Mali, it is known as Crljenak in Croatia, and a mutation in California is famously known as Zinfandel. 

Enoz Masseria makes this outstanding example in Roccamonfina.
