From Valenciso’s Laderas de Cabama vineyard in Rioja Alta, planted on limestone-rich slopes around Ollauri, this Tempranillo is drawn from a single, elevated site with low yields and careful selection. Fermentation is with native yeasts, followed by élevage in fine-grained French oak, in line with the estate’s restrained approach to maturation.
Red cherry, raspberry and plum lead, with dried herbs, cedar and a light spice note. The palate is structured, with fine, persistent tannins carrying red and dark fruit. Acidity is fresh and direct, giving shape and length. The finish is long, dry and mineral, with a faint savoury edge.
