Toro Albalá

Dessert Wine

Toro Albalá PX Gran Reserva 1988

Toro Albalá Pedro Ximénez Gran Reserva 1988 is drawn from long-aged stocks in Montilla-Moriles, produced by Bodegas Toro Albalá. Made from sun-dried Pedro Ximénez, the wine undergoes extended oxidative ageing in cask, concentrating both sugar and extract over decades.

The 1988 has spent many years in the solera system, developing depth through evaporation and slow oxidation. The result is a wine of significant density, with structure built as much from concentration as from sweetness.

Dried fig, date and molasses lead, with coffee, cocoa and spice. The palate is full and viscous, with sweetness balanced by a fine line of acidity and a long, persistent finish.
