Drawn from a network of sites across Barolo, including parcels in Castiglione Falletto, Monforte d’Alba, Barolo and Novello, Luciano Sandrone assembles Le Vigne as a composite of exposures and soils rather than a single cru. It shows red and dark cherry, rose, orange peel and spice, with notes of tea leaf and a light balsamic edge. The tannins are fine and persistent, carrying a structured, even line through the palate. It is already expressive, with the balance to develop steadily in bottle.
