Luciano Sandrone Barolo Le Vigne 2020

Drawn from a network of sites across Barolo, including parcels in Castiglione Falletto, Monforte d’Alba, Barolo and Novello, Luciano Sandrone assembles Le Vigne as a composite of exposures and soils rather than a single cru. The 2020 vintage gives the wine an early openness, managed through measured extraction and élevage in large cask and French oak. It shows red and dark cherry, rose, orange peel and spice, with notes of tea leaf and a light balsamic edge. The tannins are fine and persistent, carrying a structured, even line through the palate. It is already expressive, with the balance to develop steadily in bottle.
