From the Cannubi Boschis vineyard in Barolo, Luciano Sandrone produces Aleste from Nebbiolo planted on a mix of sand and clay with calcareous influence. The 2021 vintage has defined structure and aromatic precision. Fermented in stainless steel with extended maceration and aged in large cask with a measured use of French oak, the wine shows red cherry, raspberry and rose, with orange peel, spice and tea leaf. The tannins are firm and finely detailed, carrying a long, structured line through the palate. It will require time to open fully, with a steady, detailed development ahead.
