Domaine Guiberteau Saumur Rouge 2022

From Romain Guiberteau’s organically farmed vineyards on Saumur’s limestone slopes, this Cabernet Franc is restrained on the nose, opening gradually to redcurrant, sour cherry, and rose, with a light herbal edge and a trace of graphite. The palate is linear, with fine tannins and a clear mineral line carrying the fruit without weight. Acidity is bright and integrated, giving lift and clarity. The finish is long and savoury, marked by dried herbs and stone.
