Domaine Daniel Bouland Morgon Bellvue Sable 2023

From the Bellevue lieu-dit in Morgon, on deep sandy, decomposed granite soils, Domaine Daniel Bouland works with old-vine Gamay, typically vinified with whole bunches in a semi-carbonic approach and raised in older oak. The ‘Sable’ bottling emphasises the lighter, more lifted side of the site, with red cherry, raspberry and rose, alongside a faint spice note. The tannins are fine and supple, with a fresh, even line through the palate and a lightly mineral finish shaped by the sandy soils.
