From the hills of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, south-west of Florence, Corzano e Paternò farms a mixed estate of vines, olives and grains on galestro and clay soils. Il Corzanello is drawn from younger vines and earlier-picked fruit, typically a blend centred on Sangiovese with small portions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, fermented in stainless steel and raised briefly before bottling. The 2024 is bright and immediate, with red cherry, plum and violet, a light herbal edge, and soft, fine tannins that keep the wine supple and easy to drink. It sits comfortably at the table without demanding attention, carrying enough freshness to work across a range of dishes.
