Bannockburn Gamay 2024 comes from estate vineyards in Geelong, produced by Bannockburn Vineyards. Planted on the estate’s volcanic and limestone-derived soils, gamay gives a lighter, more lifted expression within the range.
The wine is handled with a light touch, with a portion of whole bunch fermentation and gentle extraction. Élevage is kept neutral, allowing the fruit to remain at the forefront.
Red cherry, cranberry and spice lead, with a faint savoury edge. The palate is light to mid-weight, with fine tannins and a bright line of acidity through the finish.
