Aristotelis Riverland 2022

This blend, featuring Saperavi and Petit Syrah, is pretty unique. These robust red grapes are among the alternative varieties cultivated in the nutrient-rich red soils of the Riverland. Saperavi flourishes in the region's arid conditions, exuding a delightful fruity acidity, while Petit Syrah introduces an unparalleled plushness. The outcome is a wine that's rich and reminiscent of chocolate, yet simultaneously vibrant and irresistibly moreish.

The blend is 50/50 of each grape. The grapes, mostly destemmed, also include a modest portion of whole bunches. Co-fermentation on skins took place, with half pressed after several weeks and the rest left for a few more months. The aging process was completed in aged oak barrels.

Every step, taken by hand and without relying on large machinery, ensures meticulous attention to detail. This labor-intensive approach guarantees a wine of exceptional quality that stands stable, eliminating the need for supplementary sulphites.
