From Albino Rocca in the Langhe, this Dolcetto d’Alba is drawn from estate vineyards on calcareous clay soils, farmed organically. Fermentation is in stainless steel with a short maceration to preserve freshness, followed by élevage in tank.
Black cherry, plum and violet lead, with almond and a light earthy note. The palate is direct, with soft tannins carrying dark fruit. Acidity is moderate, giving a rounded profile. The finish is dry, with a gentle bitter almond note typical of the variety.
