Place of Changing Winds Harcourt Syrah 2021

Syrah drawn from the Harcourt vineyard in the central Victoria GI of Bendigo. The site sits at elevation on granite-derived soils, giving a cooler expression of Syrah with moderate ripening and retained acidity.

Fermentation includes a portion of whole bunch, with extraction kept measured to preserve detail. Élevage takes place in French oak, used to support structure.

The 2021 shows dark cherry, blackberry and pepper, with dried herbs and a faint ferrous edge. The palate is mid-weight, with fine tannins and a long, savoury finish.
