Place of Changing Winds
Red WinePlace of Changing Winds Between Two Mountains Pinot Noir 2023
This Pinot Noir comes from the 2023 vintage, where the winery elected to bottle a single cuvée rather than separate parcels. Fruit typically reserved for the top bottling was included, with the final blend assembled from across the estate.
Fermentation includes around one-third whole bunch, followed by élevage of close to two years in a mix of Stockinger oak and glass vessels. Oak is present but restrained, used to shape rather than mark the wine.
Bright red fruit, spice and florals lead, with a fine, mineral line through the palate. There is grip and energy here, with a more persistent structure than usual for the range. It drinks well with air, but is built for development over time.
