Red Wine

Matías Riccitelli Garnacha 2024

A vibrant and detailed Garnacha (the Spanish name for Grenache) from a rising star of new-wave Mendoza. A delicate style, with bright strawberry and watermelon, violets and aromatics, with the altitude reflected on the palate through sparse, gravelly tannins and salty minerality. A light-bodied wine of depth.

Like all Riccitelli wines, yields are purposefully kept low through selective pruning and removing green grapes before they ripen. Grapes are harvested by hand, and fermented in temperature controlled concrete vats to preserve aromatics and fruit quality.

Matías Riccitelli is an Argentine-born vigneron. After a decade travelling the wine world, he's settled in the heart of Vistalba, in the region of Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, where he's dedicated himself to exploring the potential of the high-elevation terroirs of the Andes foothills. His estate vines encompass 20 hectares across three different vineyards, each at around 1000m elevation. Most of those vineyards were planted at the beginning of the 20th century.
