Maison Advinam La Donna 2020

From shale-rich hillside vineyards around Calce in Roussillon, this 2020 release from Maison Advinam is a varietal Syrah sourced at approximately 250 metres altitude and transported to the cellar in Saint-Morillon for vinification. Anne Buiatti works under a strictly non-interventionist framework, with certified organic and biodynamic farming, no additives or added sulphur, and the notable absence of electricity in the winery, relying instead on manual processes and ambient conditions. Fermentation occurs in wooden vats, followed by twelve months’ élevage across 300-litre barrels and 750-litre amphora, and a further year in bottle prior to release, without fining or filtration. The warm 2020 vintage yields a composed yet concentrated expression, with violet, red and blue fruits, and fine spice layered over a silky, structured palate, where power is carried by precision and aromatic persistence.
