From the vineyard Le Fief du Breil, a parcel rooted in gneiss and schist within Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, this cuvée reflects both site and extended ageing. The nose opens with lemon peel, preserved citrus, and green apple, alongside a light smoky note and a saline edge. Time on lees has added breadth and a faint savoury depth. The palate is more layered than the domaine’s younger wines, with a steady line of acidity carrying citrus and orchard fruit, supported by a subtle mineral grip. The finish is long, dry, and saline, with a gently oxidative nuance emerging with air.
