Henriques & Henriques Sercial 10yo Madeira

Henriques & Henriques Sercial 10 Year Old is a Madeira aged for an average of a decade in canteiro on the island of Madeira, produced by Henriques & Henriques. Made from Sercial, it sits at the driest end of the traditional spectrum, defined by high acidity and extended oxidative ageing in seasoned oak.

Fermentation is allowed to run close to dryness before fortification, followed by long ageing under warm conditions in cask. The wine develops through gradual concentration and oxidation, with structure driven by acidity rather than weight.

The profile is taut and savoury, with citrus peel, toasted almond and light spice, alongside a saline edge. The palate is lean and precise, with a long, dry finish carried by firm acidity.
