Henriques & Henriques Malvasia 10yo Madeira

Henriques & Henriques Malvasia 10 Year Old is a Madeira aged for an average of a decade in canteiro on the island of Madeira, produced by Henriques & Henriques. Made from Malvasia (Malmsey), it sits at the richer end of the traditional spectrum, with extended oxidative ageing in seasoned oak shaping both concentration and texture.

Fermentation is arrested early to retain a high level of residual sugar, followed by long ageing under warm conditions in cask. Over time, evaporation and oxidation build density while preserving acidity, which remains central to the wine’s structure.

The wine shows dried fig, date and caramel, with toasted nuts, spice and a faint saline edge. The palate is full and layered, with sweetness held in line by acidity and a long, persistent finish.
