Gant & Co Nouveau 2022

With a deep connection to the Karridale sub-region of Margaret River, Claudia and Matt Gant established Gant and Co in 2019, to not only showcase the fruit from this amazing site, but also champion the cool climate sub region of Karridale.

The vineyard has always been farmed holistically, with minimal sprays and soil health a primary focus, and timely intervention the key to success. Spur pruned, leaf plucked - the resulting wine is 61% Semillon (Block 6), 30% Merlot (Block 3B), and 9% Touriga Nacional (Block 8). Whole bunch co-ferment and 4 months on lees in oak barrels has resulted in a wine that holds rose and hibiscus floral notes with some crunchy pomegranate and cherry fruit. Lively and fresh with red fruits and juicy acidity. A crunchy hybrid red and white with an oriental-style spicy twist.
