Domaine Guiberteau Saumur Les Arboises Rouge 2021

From a single parcel of old Cabernet Franc vines rooted in Saumur’s tuffeau limestone, this cuvée shows greater depth and structure than the domaine’s broader bottlings. The nose is more compact, opening to black cherry, plum skin, and crushed rose, with graphite and a faint ferrous note. The palate has more density, with fine, persistent tannins and a firmer mineral line carrying darker fruit and dried herbs. Acidity remains precise, keeping the wine taut. The finish is long, stony, and savoury, with a touch of spice and earth.
