Domaine Dureuil-Janthial Rully Rouge 2022

From parcels around Rully in the Côte Chalonnaise, Domaine Dureuil-Janthial farms Pinot Noir on limestone and clay with a strong emphasis on vineyard work: organic practices, high planting density, and careful canopy management. Fruit is hand-harvested, partially destemmed, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and handled with low extraction. Élevage is in French oak with a modest proportion of new barrels. The 2022 shows red cherry, raspberry and rose with a light spice note. The palate is precise, with fine tannins, clear acidity, and a clean, mineral finish.
