Domaine Daniel Bouland Morgon Corcelette Vieilles Vignes Cailloux 2024

From the Corcelette sector of Morgon, Domaine Daniel Bouland works with old-vine Gamay rooted in sandy granitic soils with a high proportion of surface stones (‘cailloux’). Vinification is with whole bunches in a semi-carbonic approach, followed by élevage in older oak. The 2024 shows red cherry and raspberry with rose, a light spice note and a distinct mineral edge. The palate is tightly drawn, with fine but persistent tannins and a firm, stony line that carries through a long, precise finish.
