Domaine Camille Thiriet Bourgogne Rouge Les Chaginots 2023

From the Les Chaignots parcel in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, Domaine Camille Thiriet works with Pinot Noir from organically farmed vines on limestone soils at elevation. Fruit is hand-harvested with a notable proportion of whole bunch retained, followed by indigenous fermentation and very gentle extraction. Élevage is in neutral oak with minimal sulphur and no fining or filtration. The 2023 shows red cherry, wild strawberry and rose with a fine spice note and a light savoury edge. The palate is precise and finely textured, with supple tannins and a clear, lifted line through a persistent, mineral finish.
