Clos Venturi Altare Rouge 2022

From high-altitude vineyards near Ponte-Leccia, Clos Venturi farms organically with biodynamic practice on schist and granite. The Venturi family has focused on restoring native Corsican varieties across these inland sites, where altitude and diurnal shift shape the wines. Altare is a varietal expression of Sciaccarellu, fermented with indigenous yeasts and handled with gentle extraction, then aged in neutral vessels to preserve aromatic detail. The 2022 shows red cherry, strawberry and dried herbs with a fine peppery note. The palate is supple and finely structured, with light tannin, clear acidity, and a persistent, mineral finish.
