Cavallotto Barolo Riserva Vignolo 2018

The Vignolo parcel sits within the Bricco Boschis holdings in Castiglione Falletto, a site with a long record of structured, long-lived Barolo. Cavallotto releases this Riserva only in vintages that support extended ageing, with fermentation on skins followed by prolonged élevage in large Slavonian oak and further bottle maturation before release. The 2018 vintage is more classical in pace, shaped by a cooler season and later harvest, yielding a wine with red cherry, rose, orange peel and dried herb layered with subtle balsamic and tea notes. The tannins are firm and persistent, carrying a fine mineral thread through the finish. It is composed, structured, and built for long cellaring.
