André Bonhomme Thurissey 2021

From the Thurissey site in Viré-Clessé, this cuvée is drawn from mid-slope parcels on limestone and marl, where slightly deeper soils give a broader, more textural expression than the higher sites of the appellation. The Bonhomme family, now led by Agnès Bonhomme and Aurélie Bonhomme, farms organically with hand harvesting, native yeast fermentation and élevage on fine lees in a mix of stainless steel and older oak. The 2021 vintage, shaped by a cooler season, balances ripeness and structure: orchard fruit and citrus with a light almond note, supported by firm acidity and a saline, persistent finish that reflects the marl-limestone soils of Thurissey.
