André Bonhomme Les Prêtres de Quintaine 2021

From the historic slope of Quintaine in Viré-Clessé, this cuvée is drawn from old vines rooted in limestone and marl, a sector long associated with the most complete expressions of the appellation. The Bonhomme family, now led by Agnès Bonhomme and Aurélie Bonhomme, farms organically with careful parcel selection, fermenting with native yeasts and raising the wine on fine lees in a mix of stainless steel and older oak. The 2021 vintage, shaped by a cooler growing season, emphasises clarity and structure: citrus and white peach, with a faint almond note, firm acidity and a long, saline finish that reflects both the exposition of Quintaine and its limestone soils.
