From Albino Rocca, this Nebbiolo d’Alba is drawn from estate vineyards around Neive on calcareous clay soils. Fermentation is followed by élevage in large, neutral oak, shaping the wine without masking site character.
Red cherry, raspberry and rose lead, with tar, orange peel and a light earthy note. The palate is structured, with firm, fine tannins carrying red fruit. Acidity is bright and direct, giving lift and length. The finish is long, dry and savoury, with a faint ferrous edge.
