From Albino Rocca in the Langhe, this Barbera d’Alba is drawn from estate vineyards on calcareous clay soils around Neive. Fermentation is in stainless steel, followed by élevage in a mix of tank and used oak to retain fruit and structure.
Black cherry, plum and blackberry lead, with violet, spice and a light earthy note. The palate is driven by Barbera’s natural acidity, carrying dark fruit with energy. Tannins are moderate, giving structure without weight. The finish is dry, with a fresh, lightly savoury edge.
