Subida di Monte
White WineSubida di Monte Pinot Grigio 2021
In 1972, Luigi Antonutti, a seasoned wine producer from Friuli, actualized his dream of dedicating himself fully to vine-growing. Drawn to the hills and their bounties, he acquired several hectares in the heart of Collio Goriziano, birthing the winery, Subida di Monte. With each passing year, Luigi's dedication and fervor nurtured its growth, expanding it to nearly 10 hectares.
Now, the baton has been passed to his sons. They're presented with the challenging endeavor of treading their father's path with equal ardor. The duo is hands-on, overseeing both the vineyards and the winery, with a commitment to crafting wines that honor nature and its innate rhythms. This means shunning chemicals to foster a symbiotic relationship with the environment. Their aim is to yield natural grapes and curate wines that encapsulate the essence of the region and its grape varieties.
Diligently, they hand-harvest the grapes. The vinification process unfurls in stainless-steel tanks under regulated fermentation temperatures. During the maturation phase, the wine remains in close contact with its fine lees, right up until it's time for bottling.
